Program Description: This program provides the students with the knowledge and skills needed to enhance their professional careers. The institution promotes the phlebotomy program as avocational training for the purpose of continuing education and skill enhancement. The program is approved by California Department of Public Health, and consists of 50 hours of didactic and 40 hours of clinical practice. This program prepares students for the State Licensing Exam to become a California Certified Phlebotomy Technician 1 (CPT-1).

The admission requirements are as follow:

  1. All enrolled students are required to provide documented evidence of prior/current work experience in the healthcare related fields.
  2. Be at least 18 years of age.
  3. Be a graduate of a high school or hold a high school equivalence certificate (GED) and provide an official transcript or GED certificate
  4. Completed Student Health Record signed by a physician or nurse practitioner, and to meet the externship site immunization and health screening requirements.
  5. Current CPR certification or successfully complete the CPR certification prior to the start of externship.
  6. Attend MANDATORY Orientation (one week before start of course)

Applications are accepted year round, you can make an appointment with the admission staff and complete the application on site.
Classes are held Mondays – Thursdays 6pm-10pm in Orange County OR Saturdays-Sundays 9am-5pm
